My Names

"Skybluz" has been my online identity since 2003. It started with "Skyblue", but then it seemed too common so i decided to replace the ending "e" with the hippy "z".

My need for several identities is a clear sign that i have an multiple-identity disorder. Different people in different parts of my life know me as a different name. The list is as follows:

1. My family and relatives - Name 1 (Since birth)
2. My Primary, Secondary and JC friends - Name 2 (Since 80s)
3. My NS friends - Name 3 (Since early 90s)
4. My Varsity Friends and the rest of the World - Name 4 (Since mid-90s)
5. My Online Name - Name 5 (since 2003)

Of course, i have my official name as in my NRIC and passport. That makes me having a total of 6 names.

Well, don't expect me to reveal Names 1-4 here. The fact that you are reading my blog means you are knowing me online, so you shall know me as Name 5, haha.

After some time, Skybluz starts to dominate my life. I seem to be too attached to this invisible me that is sort of an addiction, for better or worst. When i open my friendster or facebook, it is "Skybluz". I have always wanted to announce my Name 4, but then the instinct in me prevented the revelation.

There are several instances where i encounter people who cannot adjust to names like "Skybluz". It is probably too unconventional. I have heard remarks like "What kind of a name is Skybluz??!!" Well, they probably haven't heard of weirder names.

What constitutes a name? Are there such things as "a qualified" name vs "underqualified name"? Do names like David, John and Daniel means more simply because they have been in existence since biblical ages? Haven't you heard how celebrity Ix Shen got his name? Some girls call themselves "Apple". I don't see anything wrong if one lass choose to be know as "Orange", or "Ora" for short, hehe...

If by now you still are curious about my REAL NAME, i would gladly ask you :

What is Real?

A name is for the purpose of association. People who know me by Skybluz will not be able to associate with the me known to people as Names 1-4. That is the reality.

I believe I am not the only person with disorder like this. Radio1003 DJ Xiaozhu probably hides her off-air identity for the same reason, hehe.

Nowadays i don't talk much. I prefer to leave the talking to others, and indulge in my deep thoughts. As i age, i am beginning to realize that verbal communication has lost its meaning. People tend to say less truth with words. Fortunately, the homo sapien specie is not well crafted in the art of body language concealment. As a dog owner, i have the luxury of learning the art of body language interpretation faster. You know dogs; they are perfectly honest creatures. They mean what they behave. When they are hungry, they beg. When angry, they growl. When excited, they bark. When sad, they hide in one corner. When happy, they waggle. When fearful, they retreat a few steps and bark aggressively. When seeing someone they love, they run forward and climb onto him/her.

If you have the chance to own a dog, don't miss it. Not only are dogs men's best friends, they are also men's best teachers.

Day 2 !

The morning downpour almost worried me to my deathbed.... fortunately Daddy smiled on me and the skies were clear in the evening....

Started with the love-making....opps, did i say love-making? No no, i mean the Pat-Tor scene between Tiffany and Alex that is spotted by Cecilia at the cafe. This scene replaces the bus ride scene in the original MV. Took some time to engage the three actor/actresses before getting a good take.

The run away scene was fun. Cecilia was ordered to run 6 times. Hehe...directing damn shiok...like army captain...muahaha

After dinner, the tunnel scene. Quite smooth...took quite a number of mid and close shots on Cecilia. Alex had a small role here. You will know when you watch the damned ending...

The Alex-nudge-Cecilia scene was a little tricky as both Cecilia and Alex were not natural in their responses. Eventually, i thought of something.... watch the MV to see reveal the mystery....hee

The last scene was the phone booth rain scene. Well... i shall not reveal too much... just watch the hair of Cecilia and Alex....

Tough Call

I know filming a remake MV is tough.... but not till actually doing it....

So many things need to be exact... location, lighting, clothes, people, mood, angle, and most importantly - weather.... and battery life...hehe
